Kelli is the artistic director of BARRE NONE Dance Studio in Shawnigan Lake and also the Head of Dance at the prestigious Shawnigan Lake School.
Born and raised in the Cowichan Valley, Miss Ricki started dance at the age of 5 with Margaret Carlson. She has trained in balet, modern, hip hop, jazz, tap, and modern stage. She completed her Royal Academy of Dance examinations to the Grade 8 Award and in 2009 Miss Ricki traveled to England to study with the International Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD). She is a registered teacher with the ISTD and previously an associate of the Association of International Dance Teachers. Miss Ricki has been teaching for over 10 years in many island communities and loves to share her passion of dance with students of all ages.
Anna has over 25 years of dance training behind her in Ballet and Modern Jazz starting at the age of 7. She has achieved her RAD Advanced 1 Vocational Certificate in Ballet. She has recently completed a two year course with the Royal Academy of Dance for her teachers certificate. Anna has been teaching in the Cowichan Valley for 12 years, helping children achive their graded exams. Anna has rounded out her dance career participating in the Music Festival both as dancer and choreographer and in several Cowichan Musical Society productions, acting as Dance Captain in Guys and Dolls. She is excited to be a member of the BN faculty and to share her love of dance to all.
BC born and bred, there has never been a time when Jeremy wasn’t dancing. Studying all forms of dance, his training led him all over the world. On top of competing across Canada, the US and Europe, Jeremy was part of the original touring company, Tap Co. with the Vancouver Tap Society. After returning from the World Championships in Germany, he started his professional career with Occidental Resorts. Over the last 10 years, he spanned the globe aboard the ships of Carnival Cruise Lines. He was given the promotion to Dance Captain, allowing him to oversee all the shows on board. In addition to performances for the 2010 Winter Olympics, his choreography can be seen in Mexico, as part of a Goodwill tour to Cuba for the Canadian Ambassador, “All That Jazz” with the Naden band and Canadian College of Performing Arts, and a half hour show entitled “Icons” for the Disneyland Musical Theatre program, which he created together with his wife Tiffany. Now based in Victoria, they continue to perform as an adage couple whenever possible, most recently for the Victoria Union Club and a commercial for Big-O Tires.
Aymie is a cowichan valley local who started dancing before she started walking. Aymie studied RAD ballet
& ISTD modern and completed her exams with flying colours. Since she began teaching dance Aymie has
travelled to places such as New York, California, Las Vegas to continue her dance teacher training and stay
updated. Creating a well rounded healthy dancer is incredibly important to Aymie, and as a PhysicalMind
institute certified Pilates instructor and a holistic nutritionist she is able to offer studios and students a multi
faceted approach to dance.
Shania is an energetic instructor, who loves sharing her passion for dance. When she started dancing with Barre None in high school, she quickly discovered this was her place to flourish. She immersed herself in every types of dance; Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. Shania is very excited to continue her journey with the Barre None family and to teach others how valuable dance can be in ones life!
Hannah was born and raised on Vancouver Island and began dance at the age of three. She has trained in multiple styles
including ballet, modern jazz and hip hop.
She first fell in love with hip hop at the age of 16 when training in Vancouver with some of the industry’s best
choreographers and dancers including Christopher "Lil' C" Toler. Hannah enjoys keeping up with her training by taking
classes in various styles. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love for dance with all students.
Brydie has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from the University of Calgary. Brydie grew up dancing at Barre None and is
eager to pass on all that she learned from her time there. She was involved in different dance aspects during her time at the
U of C, including performing in cabaret style shows. Most recently she was part of a devised dance piece as a part of Jane’s
Walk through Theatre Junction Grand in Calgary. Brydie is excited to return home to Barre None and can’t wait to get
